Nothings and everything’s.

Before you were strong
You were weak.
You were the lone wolf.
You were the bottom of shoes.
You were a dust mite playing hide and seek.
You were a hole in a wall.
You were the three in the morning breakdown.
But,
One day you realized.
You were oxygen,
Simple, taken for granted, but essential.
You were the tree, providing for all.
You were a slice of bread in a malnourished mouth.
A trash can on a curb.
You were a thought.
You were punctuation.
You were strong.
You only had to realize it,
Then, you were everything.
